>> 2006 SREB Awards for Educational Achievement <<

Congratulations to the 420 High School Seniors from
HSTW, SW Ohio sites who were honored for
Outstanding Educational Achievement

The Award of Educational Achievement. The Southern Regional Education Board and states participating in HSTW present an Award of Educational Achievement to high school seniors who complete a concentration in a career/technical area and demonstrate on the HSTW Assessment that they have met high curriculum and performance standards needed to undertake further learning.

How do students qualify for the award?

Students must meet all three performance goals (in reading, mathematics and science), complete four units in a career/technical concentration (except in states that require three units for a concentration) and complete two of the following three parts of the SREB-recommended academic core:

  • Four units of college-preparatory-level English;
  • Three or more units in mathematics, including two equal to Algebra I, geometry or higher;
  • Three or more units in science, including two in lab-based chemistry, physics or biology.

For a list of the regional AEA Award recipients please contact Linda Radtke
